The VR-4 is a small voice recorder about the size of a USB flash drive. It weighs about half an ounce and has no buttons to fiddle with. Turn the key-chain loop right for continuous recording or left for voice-activated mode.
It records up to 18 hours straight on one charge. In voice-activated mode, it records only when it detects voices, so a charge can last up to 18 days. A full charge takes about an hour. Recharge with any computer, phone, wall or car charger.
The voice-tuned microphone hears speech up to 40 feet away. Every file gets a date and time stamp.
To listen, plug the VR-4 into the USB port of any Mac or Windows computer. Play, save, share or delete your files like you would on a flash drive.
It is a good first recorder for meetings, classes, interviews and spoken notes, or for your own conversations at home and in the car. Always follow your local recording and consent laws.
