The VR-500 is a voice recorder with long battery life, built for long recording. In voice-activated mode, one charge lasts up to 150 days. That is about 150 hours of recording at about 1 hour of talking a day, or about five months between charges. Recording nonstop, it runs up to 14 days (336 hours). Recharge with any computer, phone, wall or car charger.
It doubles as a power bank, so you can use it to charge your phone in a pinch. Note that it pauses recording while it is charging another device.
Its voice-tuned microphone hears speech up to 60 feet away and filters out much of the background noise. Recordings are saved as MP3 files with a date and time stamp. Choose 16 GB, which holds up to 576 hours, or 32 GB, which holds up to 1,152 hours.
Using it is simple. Turn the switch to the two small dots for voice-activated mode. It starts recording when it detects voices and stops when they stop. Turn it toward the line for continuous recording. Turn it back to the center to stop.
The included magnet holds this magnetic voice activated recorder to any metal surface, which makes it a popular voice recorder for car use and the workshop. To listen, plug it into a Mac or Windows computer.
Customers use it for long meetings, their own conversations, home and car notes, and caregiving records with the family's consent. Always follow your local recording and consent laws.
