Questions & Answers
Plain answers to the things shoppers ask us most.
What does a voice activated recorder do?
It waits quietly and starts saving audio when it hears people talk. When the room goes silent, it rests. You get the talking, not hours of nothing.
Do I need an app?
No app and no fees. Plug the recorder into a computer and your recordings show up as files, like photos on a flash drive.
Can I listen without a computer?
Yes, with a voice activated recorder with playback. Models with earphones in the name let you listen anywhere.
Which recorder is best for home or car?
For recording devices for home, a USB model like the VR-16 is simple to set up in any room. For the road, see our voice recorders for car.
How fast do you ship?
Order by 4 PM ET on a business day and most orders leave that day. US shipping is free and every order comes in a plain box.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 90 days of delivery. Details are in our return policy.
Is there a warranty?
Every recorder comes with a 1-year warranty. If it stops working because of a defect, we'll repair or replace it, at our discretion.
Is it legal to record?
Recording rules differ by state. Please learn and follow the laws where you live.
