No app or monthly fees: the VP-8 recording pen with display has a small OLED screen that shows files, time and battery, then dims while you record.
- 13 hours of continuous recording per charge, or up to 13 days voice activated
- 130 hours of storage
- High-quality PCM recording
- OLED screen dims to black while recording
- Hears voices up to 60 feet away
- Wired remote and earphones for playback
The VP-8 is a matte black aluminum pen with a full PCM voice recorder inside. A small OLED screen shows the file name, time, battery and quality mode. When you start recording, the screen dims to black so it does not distract the room.
It records up to 13 hours per charge, or up to 13 days in voice-activated mode, assuming 1 hour of recording per day. Recharge with any computer, phone, wall or car charger. Its memory holds up to 130 hours.
PCM is uncompressed, so voices keep more detail. Auto Level Control keeps soft and loud voices even, and the microphone hears speech up to 60 feet away. Choose voice-activated or continuous recording.
Play files right from the pen with the included wired remote and voice-tuned earphones. Or connect it to a Mac or Windows computer to save and share them.
It is popular with executives, attorneys, doctors and graduate students for meetings, lectures, interviews and dictation. Always follow your local recording and consent laws.
