How to use the CD-5 to find hidden cameras:

1. Stand in the center of the room you wish to scan for hidden cameras

2. Hold the CD-5 Camera Finder with the illuminators facing away from you, and look through the tinted lens

3. Press the power button on the CD-5, and slowly scan the room, paying extra attention to items that could conceal a hidden camera - especially alarm clocks, mirrors, lamps and air purifiers.

4. A red light shining through the lens indicates the possible presence of a hidden camera lens.

Camera finder for hotel rooms

We ordered this camera finder for a trip that we just returned from, and so far so good. Both of the Air BnBs we stayed at tested clean, so my husband and I placed both of our cell phones in the room, and the finder turned bright red on both of the camera lenses. This particular camera finder is much higher quality than the last one we purchased, which felt terribly flimsy and we returned after the batteries leaked from the back. This is a much higher quality device (at a lower cost) than the other non-rechargeable finder, and the free 2-day shipping made it an even better deal.
